Super hero’s have unimaginable powers in their tool bag to use when real danger is near. Have you ever thought about our human power of fear? Our imagined fear can control our entire life if we don’t learn to control it.

Frozen – beware of the frozen heart

For those of you who have not seen this wonderful animated movie, I strongly encourage you to pull out that inner child and watch how this young princess figures out how to overcome her internal fear. This internal conflict coincided with her magical power of releasing ice and snow thus creating winter. When she was playing with her best friend whom is her sister she accidentally injures her sister. Her sister almost died and was saved by trolls. The trolls told the princess that she has to learn to control her fear or her powers will only get stronger. So her loving parents tried to protect her by hiding her from everyone hoping that one day she would learn how to control her fear. This only made the princess worse because she was in isolation and worried that she was dangerous to others.

The learned behavior was to conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know. When she is finally able to be herself and doesn’t care what others will think is only then is she truly set free. Her accomplishment in overcoming her internal fear allowed her to use her power for love. When she figures out how to use love instead of fear she is set free of her internal conflict.
