Kryptós in Bible
Kryptós (κρυπτός) is a Greek word used in the Bible, particularly in the New Testament, and it generally means hidden, concealed, or secret. It is translated as “secret” twelve times, “hid” three times, “hidden” three times, and “inwardly” once in the King James Version (KJV)
The word appears in various contexts, such as describing hidden thoughts or feelings, secret places, and things concealed from view. For example, in Matthew 6:4, it is used to describe alms given in secret
In Romans 2:16, it refers to the things that people conceal, and in 1 Corinthians 14:25, it describes the secret thoughts of a person
The term also appears in 1 Peter 3:4, where it refers to the inner part of a person, the soul.
